This year, we are opening 9 available time slots for you to submit your own emergent session.

Before starting your submission make sure you are familiar with the OSR formats.

Emergent Session Submissions

Emergent sessions are live discussions among a small group of panel members, mediated by a host and open to audience of the OSR. The discussions may cover more advanced topics related to open-science or EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) issues.

During the OSR, attendees can hold hybrid emergent sessions.
This year we offer 9 slots for application. These time slots are open for registration from now till until the end of the conference:

Review timeline

We will have early admission decided for 4/9 slots by June 15th (11:59 pm UTC). If there are other submissions left, we will review them again together with requests submitted during the OHBM (including during the OHBM BrainHack). The schedule will be confirmed as soon as possible to ensure support for hybridization.

For requests submitted during the OHBM, we will have two planned rounds of review:

1. at the end of the BrainHack (June 23rd, 4 pm GMT+10)
2. on Day 2 of the OHBM (June 26th, 5 pm GMT+10)

If you need to make a spontaneous request, please send your request and contact us either via email, via this issue (and @juchiyu or @jdkent), or find us at the OSR.
