This year, we are opening 6 available time slots for you to submit your own emergent session.

Before starting your submission make sure you are familiar with the OSR formats.

Emergent Session Submissions

Emergent sessions are live discussions among a small group of panel members, mediated by a host and open to audience of the OSR. The discussions may cover more advanced topics related to open-science or EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) issues.

During the OSR, attendees can hold hybrid emergent sessions.
The current 2026 OSR program includes 6 slots for application. All times below are shown for Bordeaux in the Europe/Paris timezone, which is CEST (UTC+2) during the June 15-18, 2026 meeting:

The current schedule provides numbered emergent-session slots rather than confirmed titles. Session topics and hosts will be added to the Emergent Sessions page as they are confirmed.

Confirmed sessions

Confirmed emergent-session titles and hosts will be posted on the Emergent Sessions page as soon as they are assigned to the current 2026 schedule slots.

Review timeline

Emergent-session requests are reviewed on a rolling basis during the meeting. We aim to confirm accepted proposals quickly while slots remain available so organizers have time to prepare hybrid participation and promotion.

If you need a rapid decision on a timely proposal, please submit the form and contact us either by email at ohbmopenscience@gmail.com or in person at the OSR.
